Mobile company 3 has cut its mobile broadband prices to existing customers, it has been announced.
Broadband Lite offers customers a 2.8Mbps mobile broadband connection for £5 a month with a limit of 1GB for downloads.
Those who sign up for an 18-month contract will also receive a free Huawei E169G HSDPA dongle, which plugs into a laptop to connect it to the mobile phone.
3's Turbo network has 86 per cent coverage of the UK population, the company said.
Techwatch website noted that these prices were low and suggested 3's competitors would soon be lowering their prices too - joking that it could even come to providers paying customers to use their mobile broadband service.
However it also recommended providers should "sort out the speed issues".
Vodafone, meanwhile, has slashed the price of its mobile broadband service too, to £15 a month for a 7.2MB service with a download limit of 3GB.
