Extras for mobile phones do not have to cost anything, states one website that has posted "100 sites with free stuff".

According to the dialaphone website, there are a number of sites around where mobile phones users can get access to ringtones, wallpapers and games content that does not cost a penny.

The site recommends people looking for free ringtones to head to Cellsea, Cool Free Ring Tones, I Want Free Ringtones and Melopolis among other sites and adds that PhoneZoo also offers mobile social networking.

For screensavers and wallpaper, CellMind, Mobile9, MobileHeart, Mobopic and MyTinyPhone are highlighted, with Phone Image praised for offering over 10,000 wallpaper options.

The site adds that gamers should head to CellUFun, ClubMoGames, Fun For Mobile, and GameJump and suggests Glu.com for those "who like online casual games (such as Diner Dash or Zuma)".

In other gaming news, Nokia announced this week that it would launch a new version of Metal Gear Solid for its mobile phones - following a new partnership with Konami.
