Following the announcement of Research In Motion's latest BlackBerry, it has emerged that the "iPhone killer" has more up its sleeve than first imagined.
According to Cnet's Matt Rosoff, it has been announced that the handset will not only offer a host of features expected to stand up to current and future incarnations of Apple's handset, but will also be compatible with its music service.
The site states that the BlackBerry 9000, which is also known as the BlackBerry Bold, will sync with Apple's iTunes service and allow the download and transfer of media files between the two platforms.
Mr Rosoff states that although music fans are likely to hold out for announcement on the second-generation iPhone, there are still a number of reasons to consider the 9000/Bold.
"If you're already a Blackberry fan, or are primarily concerned with having access to e-mail at all times, the 9000 seems like the clearest alternative to the iPhone," he concludes.
