Another new BlackBerry in development?

Following the launch of the BlackBerry Bold, Research In Motion (RIM) is rumoured to be putting together plans for a new touchscreen model.

According to the Concept Phones news website, RIM will not be keen to rush the product to market, meaning that the new handset may not be available until 2009.

However, it is noted that among the innovations expected from RIM's next generation BlackBerry, which is reported to be under the working name of Thunder, will be 4G touchscreen technology.

Concept Phones cite Boy Genius Report, a website which has pages set up for breaking news on the model, which also claims the phone will be available on Vodafone.

"So far, we know that BlackBerry Thunder will sport a full touchscreen display, 4 simple keys: send, end, menu and back and that its model name will be BlackBerry 9500," the site states.

The BlackBerry Bold was originally named the 9000.
