3 network offers 'great flexibility' on mobile broadband

The web dongle available with the 3 network's mobile broadband service has been put to the test by one website.

According to a recent review for the Australian PC World website, 3 currnelt offers its customers "greater flexibility" with its mobile broadband services and has taken the opportunity to put the service provider's key under analysis.

The unit is praised for connectivity in areas that are covered by HSDPA, 3G and GPRS and states that it is currently "one of the smallest mobile broadband devices on the market".

"It connects via USB, so it offers a flexible alternative for users of desktop PCs and notebooks, as many new machines don't have PC Card slots," the site concludes.

The 3 network currently offers a range of mobile broadband packages including pay-as-you-go and pay monthly services. The 3 website also hosts a coverage checker so users know what kind of coverage they can expect.
