The new touchscreen model from Samsung has a lot to live up to and still manages to impress one reviewer.
According to phoneArena.com, there have been touchscreen handsets on the mobile phones market for almost a decade, but the new Samsung Instinct takes up the baton where its fiercest rival left off.
It is reported that it is clear that the Instinct's closest competitor is bound to be the Apple iPhone, a 3G version of which hits the shelves next month, but this does not mean Samsung has not produced a worthy foe.
"It's a commendable adversary to the iPhone and indeed outperforms it in many areas," the review notes.
However, it adds that although the Instinct "is the first touchscreen device that can truly go toe-to-toe with the iPhone" it states it lacks the "slickness and wow factor" of Apple's model - but concludes that it is the "best of the rest".
