The race to release new mobile phones that offer the highest specification camera technology is hotting up with two manufacturers now involved, it has been suggested.
Following the recent launch and advertising campaign for the Sony Ericsson C902 - a phone which equipped with a five-megapixel camera - and the announcement of its eight-megapixel successor, Motorola is reportedly attempting to catch up.
According to electricpig.co.uk, Motorola could be about to put out its own eight-megapixel cameraphone as part of its campaign to get back ahead in the mobile phones market.
Citing T3, it adds that the phone is currently going by the name of the Alexanda and will also be fitted with a touchscreen, GPS and "a kick ass gaming chip".
However for those who wish to stay ahead of the current handsets available, the Sony Ericsson C902 is now available and according to the Carphonewarehouse website is "one of the cleverest camera phones around".
