Iron Man comes to mobile phones

One of the year's biggest blockbuster movie franchises has made it to gamers' mobile phones and one review puts it to the test.

Pocketgamer.co.uk reports that Iron Man harks back to classic 2D overhead shoot-em-up games such as 1942 and Space Invaders.

The film itself tells the story of a billionaire industrialist, Tony Stark, who sees the error of his ways and swears to undo the damage done by his international weapons company.

Based on the Marvel comic book of the same name, Iron Man is born when Mr Stark decides to build his own suit of metal to deal out this justice.

The Iron Man persona is inspired by a suit of armour he is forced to create to save his life and escape imprisonment from terrorists.

The film itself had a number of other connections with mobile phones including a marketing deal that featured a number of handsets by LG.
