As consumers anxiously await the arrival of Apple's iPhone 3G, an article unveils the first attempt to improve the handset.
Electrigpig.co.uk reports that Goldstriker has unveiled plans to offer a gold-coated, diamond-encrusted iPhone 3G that it suggests "snatches the crown as the worlds first iPhone 3G mod".
Citing Pocket-lint, it states that the "pimped-out" iPhone recently came to light ahead of the handset's official launch - scheduled for July 11th - although it is suggested that the model is somewhat "gaudy" and "a touch tasteless".
"Details on pricing are scarce, probably because if you have to ask, you can't afford it," the site concludes.
This week Trusted Reviews reported that the Apple iPhone 3G will be available on pay-as-you-go with a £350 price tag on the 8GB model and the 16GB version expected to see a launch over the following weeks for "between £450 and £500".
