Sony Ericsson reveals seven new phones

At this year's Mobile World Congress show, Sony Ericsson announced it would be releasing seven new mobile phones this year, the Xperia X1, G700, G900, C702, C902, Z770 and W980i.

Tech Digest has revealed the main features of the handsets. It states the Xperia X1 is an arc slider phone which runs on Windows Mobile 6 and among other things offers a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and 400MB of storage.

The G700 and G900 are exactly the same apart from the G700 has a 3.2-megapixel camera as opposed to a 5-megapixel camera and does not offer touch auto focus or multi-shot functions.

Similarly, the C702 and C902 offer many of the same features but again the C902 offers a more impressive sensor at 5-megapixels, compared with 3.2-megapixels.

The Z770 has a media player and can be used as a modem via USB.

Finally, adding to their Walkman range, the W980i has storage for up to 8,000 tracks, an FM transmitter and access to Sony Ericsson's PlayNow web download service.

Last week, phoneArena reported Sony Ericsson's W350 would be a good buy for music lovers looking for a flip design.
