Sony Ericsson could be about to launch a new handset that focuses on slim design rather than other features.
According to Engadget Mobile, the manufacturer has put together a new handset that strays from its recent trend of launching Walkman mobile phones and will instead be an ultra-thin candybar model.
The phone, which could be of interest to consumers looking at Sony Ericssonmobile phones - but uninterested in the Walkman branding, is thought to be going under the name Remi and will feature some extras that put it into context with the manufacturer's current range.
"The rumoured handset
[offers] a 3.2-megapixel cam and a body measuring somewhere in the neighbourhood of 10mm thick - all attributes borrowed from its W890 cousin," the article states, citing the Unofficial Sony Ericsson (USE) blog.
In an article posted on the USE blog recently, it was suggested the Remi could be a "remake" of the Sony Ericsson T610, a model that proved popular on its release in 2003.
