Phones4U tickles Samsung pink

SamsungA new handset has been launched exclusively through Phones4U that links up with this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

According to Mobile Choice UK, the retailer will offer customers the Samsung U800 in pink, with a £10 donation made to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity for every one sold.

The site claims that the change in colour relates to the colour usually associated with breast cancer charities and the exclusive launch of the phone will be timed to run alongside this October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"2007 saw over half a million pounds for breast cancer charities raised by Samsung throughout Europe, which signalled the start of a four-year plan by the manufacturer to support the cause," the article notes.

Samsung's U800 is equipped with a three-megapixel camera, HSDPA internet connectivity and 1GB of internal memory.

Other Samsungmobile phones currently available include the U900 Soul, G600, J700 and Ted Baker Button models.
