Nokia has announced a new deal with one of world's largest record companies that will bring more music to the ears of consumers with mobile phones.
According to the International Herald Tribune, the Finnish manufacturer has brought Warner Music Group (WMG) onboard its music service, potentially making millions of new tracks available to those with Nokia handsets.
The publication adds that this deal follows similar agreements with Sony BMG and Universal Music Group and precedes the launch of Comes With Music program, which is expected to be available later in the year.
Commenting on the deal, WMG chief executive Edgar Bronfman Jr. said that the Nokia service marked a "a significant step forward in the evolution of digital music".
"It's the first global initiative to fundamentally align the interests of music companies with telecommunications companies," the article notes he added.
Last week, Nokia released details of its Supernova range which Trusted Reviews noted would cater to the fashion-conscious mobile user.
