Visitors to Disneyland Resort Paris will now have the opportunity to access information using their mobile phones, it has emerged.
The theme park has launched a new service that uses mobile phones equipped with Bluetooth technology to provide visitors information such as nearby attractions, according to Brand Republic's Mobile Marketing Bulletin.
Commenting on the new system, Disneyland Paris' parks operation director, Eric Cosset, said it was important for the resort to offer the best services to its guests - and Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones could guarantee this.
"We have been working on real-time information for some time now, for we know it is one of the keys to a wholly successful visit for our guests," he said.
Bluetooth terminals have been allocated to four areas of the park, which will alert people to their services as they walk past.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Disney would offer new branded mobile phones - the DM002SH, available in Clear Crystal, Brown Topaz and Pink Diamond - although it was not stated if these would make it to the UK market.
