More details have emerged on a new model from Research In Motion (RIM) which could be the latest attempt at an 'iPhone killer'.
Trusted Reviews reports that images have emerged showing RIM's latest BlackBerrys, named Javelin and Thunder, which could provide an alternative to those tired of hearing about Apple's 3G marvel.
The site adds that, thanks to RIM's tendency towards "lax security", information has emerged that the BlackBerry Javelin will be "essentially identical to the stunning Bold" but will drop the 3G capabilities.
However, it adds that this will mean it is still equipped with a 480 x 360 LCD screen, GPS, WiFi, 3.2-megapixel camera and the 4.6 version operating system.
"As for the Thunder," it adds, "it contains haptics and in landscape mode we do get the full qwerty layout, while portrait brings up the traditional SureType keyboard."
It concludes that there has also been speculation the Thunder could be named the Storm on its release and will be a slim and pocketable BlackBerry.
