A new game for the iPhone is proving popular with beer drinkers, according to reports.
Brand Republic's Mobile Marketing Bulletin states users of Apple's mobile phones have been quick to download the Carling's iPint application from the App Store - sending it straight to the top of its free games chart.
Gamers are asked to complete in a barslide task with successful players awarded a virtual pint of Carling's own lager.
Once this has been received the screen of the iPhone displays a virtual glass of Carling that is poured by tapping the screen and drank by gently tilting the handset.
Nic Young, director of marketing communications at Carling, said: "The team have shown all their friends and work mates the iPint and everyone thought it was great."
This week Apple announced that the new App Store had seen over ten million downloads by iPhone and iPod users since its launch last week.
