Young people are now so familiar with products such as mobile phones and mobile broadband that it is changing the way we do business, it has been suggested.
According to a spokesman for the 3 network, the younger generation has adapted to modern technology more quickly than older people and are bringing this onto the workplace.
Renato Bottini, head of business at 3 UK, agreed that mobile phones and mobile broadband were among the new things that were being integrated into business and that such things were "of great benefit to small businesses".
"When you have four million small businesses with nine million employed across the UK, we need to make sure that those people are productive and effective and save themselves the most money they can," he added.
This month, 3 published new figures which revealed 14 per cent of people believe it is vital to have access to phones and email to stay in control of work duties.
