Mobile broadband 'could help you plan your shopping'

The internet has become a major part of our shopping habits, one expert has this week suggested.
A spokesman for E-consultancy.com, an online service which offers news and information on the online marketing, said consumers are increasingly likely to use the power of the web - even when shopping in traditional stores.
In news that may interest those considering the benefits of a mobile broadband package, the publications editor-in-chief Chris Lake said that for advertisers in particular, the retail landscape has changed.
"The internet now plays a huge role in how consumers perform research before making purchases offline. Equally, offline channels like TV advertising are driving a lot of sales online," he said.
Vodafone announced this week that its customers in Manchester could expect improved mobile broadband services - meaning Mancunian shoppers could be better informed ahead of shopping in the city's vibrant retail areas.
