Business users advised 'it is a great time to be a mobile user'

Better products and lower prices mean it has never been a better time for business users of mobile phones, one expert has advised.

A spokesman for the 3 network, a telecommunications company which offers a range of services including mobile broadband, said handsets were becoming increasingly sophisticated and cheaper to use.

Renato Bottini, head of business at 3 UK, said that the business community in particular was making full use of these extra services and that this was resulting in more flexibility.

"It's not about the hours we work or being a slave to our devices, it's about our devices being slaves to us and us choosing our working habits," he said.

He added that mobile phones were now part of everyday working life and have changed the way the business sector works.

Recent research from 3 UK revealed that 14 per cent of mobile users believe it is essential to be contacted by phone or email in order to stay in control of their work duties.
