Mobile broadband services currently on offer from providers such as Vodafone offer a real alternative to a grounded web connection, according to a recent article.
In a blog for the Times Online, Michael Moran states that his initial apprehensions over an "aggressive advertising" campaign were allayed when he decided to test the mobile broadband package on offer from Vodafone.
He states that equipped with the provider's 019 mobile broadband USB stick, he decided to test the capabilities of the 7.2Mbps downstream service that was advertised.
"If you're paying more than £15 a month for your current broadband service
and you're a casual surfer rather than a multimedia addict, Vodafone's solution may be a much more practical [one] than it might at first appear," he concludes.
It has been widely reported recently that mobile broadband take up is rising rapidly and a recent article for Crave suggested this week that recent technological developments mean that setting up the service is easier than ever.
