One of the most popular console game characters has been given a boost to his range of games for mobile phones, it has emerged.
Vivendi Games' mobile phones gaming division has announced that fans of the Crash Bandicoot franchise in Europe have made Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart and Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D one of the most popular games currently available.
In the same way as classic characters from Nintendo's Super Mario series have enjoyed numerous outings in the Mario Kart console games, Vivendi now celebrates the success of turning its own franchise into a racer for mobile phones.
Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile, said both of the games available set the benchmark high and offer a number of things to give users the best experience possible.
"When we decided to create a sequel to our highly successful 2004 mobile game of the same name, we knew we had to set the bar very high and come up with the best kart-racing game available on mobile phones today," he said.
Vivendi is headquartered in Paris and has US-based offices in both Los Angeles and California.
