Secret LG: a secret no more?

Rumours are abound that following speculation that Apple are about to launch a 3G version of the iPhone, LG also have something planned.
Australian technology news website ChannelNews reports that the South Korean manufacturer has plans to unveil the "Secret" - a model that will take on the replacement for the new handset on its arrival.
It is reported that although the company are struggling in their TV division, the popularity of mobile phones like the Viewty and Chocolate has meant the company is now in a strong position to take on the iPhone.
"The new offering
follows the [Chocolate] and [Shine] models in the Black Label Series - which has helped boost LG's phone sales with more than 25 million sales worldwide," the site notes.
Expected to be equipped with a five-megapixel camera, DivX video, Bluetooth and Microsoft Office support, the site notes that the Secret could be "one of the more expensive mobile phones available".
According to the Mobile Gazette, Apple's new iPhone will build on the original and address issues such as battery life when supporting 3G applications.
