Samsung take on the BlackBerry

The latest in a range of high performance mobile phones from Samsung has enough potential to challenge the BlackBerry, it has been suggested.
In an article this week for the Trusted Reviews website, Samsung's SGH-i780 is highlighted as following the BlackBerry template in the same manner that previous models - such as the i600 have done.
It is reported that the latest of these mobile phones is supported by Orange and comes with a number of "innovations" such as a track button which works in the same way as a laptop track pad.
The review notes that this addition works "surprisingly well" adding that "before long controlling Windows Mobile like a notebook feels like second nature"
However, it does note that some users may find difficulty getting used to the track button in its d-pad mode and that this does not match up to the ease-of-use one would find with BlackBerry's 8800.
"The OrangeSamsung i780
certainly has potential. I liked the track button control and the keyboard is pretty responsive too," the review concludes.
Madonna recently admitted that both she and her husband Guy Ritchie were BlackBerry addicts who sleep with their handsets close-by.
