The latest in a range of mobile phones from Samsung to offer touchscreen technology has been previewed in a new article.
Following its launch at last year's 3GSM conference, phoneArena.com has offered a sneak-peek at the South Korean manufacturer's latest high-performance multimedia handset.
It is reported that the SGH-F490, which the site claims is targeted at "the high-tech oriented audience" builds on many of the features that have previously been seen on the Samsung F790 and Giorgio Armani models.
Although it is noted the new handset is "not as sleek as the iPhone", a 5-megapixel camera, microSD slot, multiple video format support and NetFront 3.4 browser technology make for a package worthy of the site's praise.
"Overall, [the] F490 is a good example of the amount of impressive hardware that can fit in a slim sized phone," it states.
Earlier this week, Michael Gartenberg of JupiterResearch said the number of touch screen phones on display at the CTIA conference showed that Apple's iPhone was able to cast a "super-big shadow" over the event - despite its creators not taking part.
