The decision for mobile phone network O2 to offer improved internet services has been commended by the Trusted Reviews website.
It is reported that the network had previously limited a number of its customers using 3G mobile phones to a bandwidth of 128kbps and the site notes that this had not been a popular move.
However, it goes on to state that O2 has now boosted its services and issued an apology for the previous speeds - a response issued so rapidly that the website says makes it "commendable".
Both 3G and HSDPA customers will now receive better speeds and in a statement the company stated that it would further endeavour to improve upon this.
"The vast majority of our 3G customers are [now] able to access the internet on their mobile device at speeds of up to 384 KBps or typically up to 1.3 MBps if they have an HSDPA-enabled device," the statement read.
This week, O2 confirmed that it would be reducing the price of the 8gb Apple iPhone to £169.
