Luxury Nokia range offers two golden handsets

Nokia has turned up the bling factor on its luxury line of mobile phones by encasing them in gold and diamonds, it has emerged.

The Vertu brand, itself a subsidiary of Nokia, is the British-made designer series of mobile phones that can be purchased in a number of specialist and department stores. However, the latest range may prove to be a little out of reach for most.

The new Coloured Diamonds Collection has two models, the Signature Rose Gold Pink Diamonds and Signature Rose Gold Pink Sapphires and see the aforementioned precious stones embedded in an 18 carat rose gold handset.

Chris Harris, Vertu's global marketing director, said: "These two new additions, which include very rare gems such as pink diamonds and sapphires, are fitting additions to this iconic range".

One of Vertu's largest global markets is India, mobiletor.com reports, where the company has been able to establish itself as a brand that offers the same level of desirability as "a Rolex watch or a Bentley car", the site suggests.
