HTC have disappointed in the past but its latest version of the Touch more than makes up for it, according to a new review.
Reghardware.co.uk reports that initially the HTC Touch did not live up to its potential but since then the manufacturer's TyTn II "was nothing short of superb" and the new Touch Dual completes a solid run of form.
It is reported that the "smart-looking" rubberised black plastic works well with the polished chrome of the handset and the 2.6in touchscreen adds to an overall stylish addition to HTC's range of mobile phones.
In addition to the look of the phone, the site notes that 400MHz processing, 256MB flash memory, 3G HSDPA, Micro SD and Windows Mobile 6 Professional add up to a solid package - although a two-megapixel camera is noted as unchanged from the original Touch handset.
"The faster chip, addition of a slider keypad and HSDPA 3G along with various minor tweaks here and there have resulted in a handset that is easy to use, versatile, smart and robust," the review concludes.
In Japan, the TyTN was renamed the Emonster and in the US is known as the AT&T Tilt.
