Nokia's new eco-friendly mobile phone may not be a revolution, but it marks a positive step for the industry, it has been suggested.
In an article this week for the Trusted reviews website, the greenest of Nokia's mobile phones, the 3310 Evolve, is given the once over and praised for its attempts to address consumer concerns over climate change.
It is suggested that the keys are big enough to make text messaging easy and although the screen is a little disappointing, the review concludes that as an exercise in greener technology the battery is one of the 3310 Evolve's strongest points.
"The 3110 Evolve is one small step in the right direction as far as its environmental credentials are concerned. If you are tempted by the idea, for your money you'll get a low to mid-range mobile phone with
good battery life," the review concludes.
A recent article for Smart Planet echoed the Trusted Review's points suggesting the handset was "basic but very useable" with big keys, good build quality and impressive battery life.
