Samsung has announced the launch of a new entry into its range of mobile phones that can switch between two SIM cards, it has emerged.
According to mbmagazine.co.uk, the tri-band handset will be named the Samsung D780 Duos and will not replace the company's last dual-SIM model - the D880 Duos - but will be added to the Duos range.
It is reported that the D780, which is expected to be available later in the year, allows for the combination of two mobile phones in one handset as it not only houses two separate SIM cards but also allows them to fully function simultaneously.
In addition to this, the D780 comes equipped with a two-megapixel camera, video recording and a 256k 2.1-inch QVGA screen as well as v2.0 Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
A microSD card and built-in memory combine with an mp3 player and FM radio which the review states "completes the multimedia capabilities of the neat and stylish phone".
This week sees the launch of Samsung's G810, which camera-core.co.uk reported earlier this month will be available at the Carphonewarehouse.
