A touchscreen handset from Samsung has been highlighted as raising the bar for Apple iPhone 3G contenders.
Pocket Gamer states in a review this week that the Samsung SGH-F480, which is also known as the Tocco, is the latest in a long line of challengers to the crown of Apple's stylish handset.
It praises the sophistication of the iPhone, but adds that in the Tocco Samsung has created a "pleasingly solid" mobile phone that "drips with style and desirability".
The handset is equipped with a 2.8-inch touchscreen display - which incorporates the manufacturer's TouchWiz interface - as well as 3G connectivity, a five-megapixel camera and a "robust" media player.
"From the excellent build quality to the intuitive and striking interface, the Tocco is one of the more convincing pretenders to the iPhone's crown," it concludes.
The Apple iPhone 3G is available now on both pay as you go and monthly tariffs through the O2 network.
