T Mobile has cited the increased uptake of mobile broadband as partially responsible for its recent successful financial results.
The network recently revealed that its half-year net revenue up had increased by 1.7 per cent year-on-year to over £1.6 million and the company added that its sales of mobile broadband devices has grown by 360 per cent.
Commenting on the positive figures, which represented the firm's financial results for the second quarter of 2008, T Mobile chief executive Jim Hyde said the network was performing well despite "challenging market conditions".
He said the figures "demonstrate the strength of the T Mobile brand", as well as its "commitment to customers to deliver value".
"They also show the dramatic growth in mobile broadband is continuing at full pace," he added.
The network recently announced a new initiative to challenge users of mobile phones to find a better monthly £30 contract than those it currently offers on its Solo and Combi price plans.
