Samsung users visiting the US will now be able to take advantage of handset chargers available at a number of the country's airports.
The South Korean manufacturer has rolled out mobile charging stations at JFK and LaGuardia's New York airport terminals, as well as at Los Angeles International, Orlando International Airport and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Following the success of these stations, the latest hub to receive 50 such charging stations will be Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), which will feature in terminals A, B and C of the airport.
Bill Ogle, chief marketing officer of Samsung Mobile, said that it was expected that the stations would be useful for their customers and that the company had targeted some of the country's busiest hubs.
"Samsung Mobile Charging Stations are designed to give travellers an easy way to keep their phones, laptops and other gadgets charged while on-the-go," he said.
EWR is the tenth-busiest airport in the America and fifth busiest international air gateway in the country with JFK ranking first, according to US department of transportation statistics for 2000-2004.
