Apple's iPhone 3G will soon be available on prepay at the Carphonewarehouse through O2 from September 16th this year.
Mobile phone buyers will be able to purchase the 8GB and 16GB versions in pay-as-you-talk packages.
Unlimited internet browsing and Wi-Fi access will come with the handset for the first 12 months and after this it can be continued for £10 each month.
Use of the Wi-Fi and browsing options on the phone are able to be used at any Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the UK.
The 8GB model will cost £349.99 while the model with the larger capacity will retail at £399.99 at O2 stores, the Carphonewarehouse and Apple shops.
Features that will not be available on the prepay versions are visual voicemail and call merging capabilities.
Over 800,000 iPhone 3Gs are being produced by Apple each week. The handset has already outsold its predecessor with over 12 million units being bought to date, reports MacWorld.co.uk.
