A new handset from Sony Ericsson (SE) is clearly one for those who like gaming on their mobile phones, according to a new review.

Pocket Gamer this week put the new SE W580 to the test and concluded that the manufacturer is clearly targeting a market that wants high performance games in a stylish and compact package.

It states that the W580 is a slider model that is one of the company's Walkman-branded devices and is equipped with two-megapixel camera, two-inch screen and an integrated speaker system "bizarrely located underneath the D-pad".

"The games included with the phone are Lumines and The Sims 2 – two evergreen titles that we've already seen pre-loaded on numerous other SE handsets," the site notes.

However, it adds that the 3D gaming capabilities of the W580 are not fully shown off with these games and recommends buyers hunt down some other classic titles.

The W580i version of the phone is available in a range of colours.
