The latest entry into Research In Motion's (RIM) range of mobile phones is an ideal companion for business users, one expert has said.
A spokesman for T Mobile, one of the networks expected to be offering the new handset later this year, said RIM's BlackBerry Bold combines everything existing smartphone users can expect plus a little more.
The networks' mobile head of business marketing, Oliver Chivers, told the Mobile News website that the new BlackBerry was likely to be a popular choice for small businesses and entrepreneurs in particular.
"The BlackBerry Bold offers all the features our customers expect, as well as a range of advanced functionality that enhance its business benefits," he said.
It is reported that the Bold is currently available on a range of tariffs from Orange and that the Carphonewarehouse will soon stock the model.
A number of experts have suggested that the Bold could take on Apple's latest 3G mobile phone and one Orange spokesperson is quoted by Mobile News as saying that many have said it is "a genuine rival to the iPhone".
