The latest handset from HTC could topple a number of its rivals and is definitely better than its predecessor, a new review states.
In an article for the Trusted Reviews website, Jonathon Bray states that the new HTC Touch Pro follows previous entries into the manufacturer's range that have included the Touch Diamond and the "excellent" TyTN II.
Similar to the Diamond in terms of dimensions, layout, processor, web connectivity and camera, the site notes that although the differences between the two are many, but the keyboard is where this is most noticeable.
"I feel that the HTC Touch Pro is a much more accomplished phone than the Touch Diamond," it states, adding that the phone is "a much more valid alternative to the iPhone and that is simply due to its brilliant keyboard."
However, the reviewer does have some issues with the Touch Pro's pricing and battery life, but adds that those who can put up with this will be getting a handset that is "very hard to beat".
Crave's Andrew Lim, praised HTC's new S740 handset this week, noting that the slide-out qwerty keyboard was accompanied by a range of impressive features and a compact lightweight casing.
