A new handset from HTC proves that a high quality smartphone does not need to be big and bulky, one reviewer claims.
According to Crave's Andrew Lim, early offerings from the manufacturer in this category were less than impressive, but HTC has learned from its mistakes and has come back stronger and smarter.
It is noted that the HTC S740 is testament to this and that with a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity and a slide-out qwerty keyboard, users will not be found wanting.
The handset, which runs on the Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard operating system, is also praised for including "some truly impressive features" as well as being encased "in a package that won't stretch your trousers".
"You'll have to contain your excitement until September, but it'll most likely be available on most of the major networks for free on a monthly contract," Mr Lim concludes.
Other handsets in the HTC family include the S620, Touch Diamond, S730, Touch Dual, Ted Baker Needle and S710.
