Virgin Media has launched a new sim only package that it claims no other 30-day option can touch.
The network unveiled the new deal this week and explained that whether users opted for the monthly tariff of £10, 15 or £18, they could expect a great mix of free call time and texts.
Launched this month, the Supersize offers unlimited SMS messages, "hundreds of minutes" for voice calling and free access to voicemail to users when in the UK.
Mobile internet access is priced from 30p per day, meaning easy access to social networking sites and email is made cheaper, while free Instant Messenger provides another way for users to keep in touch with friends and family.

The latest tariff from Virgin Media is to be boosted by some new flagship handsets from manufacturers such as Nokia and Samsung.
Announced by the operator this week, the Unlimited price plan will allow the user as many text messages, cross and same-network voice calls, and mobile internet minutes as they require for £65 per month.
However, the group also unveiled some of the new handsets that will feature as part of the package - which will include the Nokia N86 and Samsung Jet.

Virgin Media has claimed its latest contract is ideal for those looking to avoid the worry of unexpected charges on their bill.
This week, the carrier announced details of the new Unlimited tariff, that will allow subscribers unrestricted access to text messages, cross and same-network voice calling, and web access.
For £65 per month, customers will be able to get hold of some of the latest mobile phones to feature in the company's range and Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at Virgin Media, said they will also enjoy "great value".

Virgin Media mobile back on TV

Virgin Media will this week premiere its latest TV advertisement for its range of mobile phones.
The company states it will be the first televised marketing clip that it has run since 2007 and will be on screens for five weeks starting this Wednesday (24th June)
It is noted the new campaign will feature "stunning images", as well as music from 90s alternative rock outfit Mazzy Star, who have previously had chart hits in the UK with Fade into You and Flowers in December.

New tariffs launched by Virgin Media

It has emerged that Virgin Media will revise its tariffs to compete with its rivals on pay monthly deals.
The carrier said this week that unlimited texts, voice calls and web browsing would form part of the offering and would in some cases undercut rival networks by £2.
One of the deals will involve an £18 monthly payment that will give users the chance to take advantage of the two former incentives, while subscribers to the £25 tariff will receive the internet.
It was noted these would be "competitive bundles" and Virgin Media's managing director of mobile Graeme Oxby said it was hoped people would be keen to take advantage.

Enhanced email offering for Virgin Mobile users

Virgin Media has announced an enhanced email service that could be of interest to its mobile users.
The deal involves a partnership with internet search company Google that will boost its broadband offerings as well as provide a number of new addresses.
In addition to more @virginmedia.com email addresses, the network will also upgrade its storage facilities - giving access to up to 7GB of space.
The company added the partnership could help people keep track of their email on the go and will feature better search, anti-virus, spam and phishing protection.

'Innovative music services' ahead for Virgin Media

The appointment of a new head of music at Virgin Media could lead to more innovative services, it has been advised.
It was announced this week that the network - which provides a number of mobile broadband packages - has found an executive to handle its music-focussed online offerings.
Having spent time in a similar role at Orange, Richard Wheeler will take the job of head of music - in a move which the company claims will lead to a range of new offerings for its web and mobile phone customers.

Virgin Mobile teams up with girl band to launch PAYG tariff

Virgin Mobile has teamed up with pop group The Saturdays to launch a new pay as you go (PAYG) tariff.
Addict gives users mobile internet access as well as unlimited texts if they top up their phone with at least £20 per month.
Calls to any UK mobile network or landline are a flat rate of 20p.
If £15 of credit is bought in a month then the consumer gets 600 free texts, while £10 provides 300 texts. With these amounts, however, mobile internet will cost 30p per day on top.
A fair usage policy is in place, so there are caps on how much you get.

A new service has been announced that will give Virgin Mobile customers the chance to text the galaxy.
Texts into Space will allow messages to be sent into the cosmos - and the operator is hoping its users will line up to put out a comment that will be beamed across the universe.
Billed as a "unique gift idea", Virgin Mobile customers will have their texts sent into space via a satellite in Cornwall at the price of a normal text. However, for a further £9.95 they can expect a Certificate of Transmission from SentForever.com.

Virgin Mobile has announced that it will include free access to Windows Live Messenger (WLM) on a number of tariffs.
The network states that it will now offer WLM for an initial cost-free period of six months on compatible mobile phones for both its contracted and pay-as-you-go customers.
Claiming that the service will work in the same way as it does for PC and laptop users, Virgin Mobile says the ability to send instant messages means users can have all of their friends at their fingertips.
