One operator announced details of how it will bring a popular music streaming service to its customers.

According to 3 Mobile, the Google Android-powered HTC Hero will be launched on its network next month on a tariff of £35 per month.

For this, subscribers not only get 750 cross-network minutes and unlimited texts, email, browsing, Facebook and Skype, but also full access to the Spotify Premium.

3 has beaten off competition from the likes of T Mobile and Vodafone to win the title of Best Mobile Broadband Package provider at a recent awards ceremony.

The Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2009 saw the network take home the gong, a year after its mobile broadband offering won the Tariff Deal of the Year prize.

Comments from the judges focussed on the data bundle included for customers' cash - a "mighty 15 gigabytes".

Mobile phone network 3 has unveiled two brand new Wi-Fi tariffs its customers can take advantage of.

Both last for 18 months and could be ideal for those who want to switch from their existing price plan to a more competitive deal.

The first is £12 per month and covers one gigabyte of data. With this agreement, the wireless modem comes free of charge.

3 Mobile is hoping to secure a distribution deal for Spotify, it has been claimed.

New Media Age reported this week the network is in talks with the internet music service and a range of options are being considered for the application to be included on handsets.

Two new handsets have been announced that aim to take full advantage of one of the most popular social networking facilities on the web.

The 3 Mobile network has announced it will offer exclusive television access to customers who sign up to one of its latest flagship phones.

It was announced this week the carrier has entered into a deal with Sky Mobile TV that will allow Sony Ericsson W995 users the ability to watch content on its channels.

Consumers looking for the lowest-priced European roaming charges may be interested in a new announcement from 3 Mobile.

The network said this week that it is now the cheapest UK operator for data provision in the EU having launched a new mobile broadband and calling tariff for its customers.

The new Nokia N97 is coming to 3 Mobile and the network has now announced one more reason it believes consumers may be tempted by it.

Announced last December at an event in Barcelona, the manufacturer said the phone was "a true mobile computer" and the UK carrier has revealed it will also now boast access to Skype calling.
