A new set of multimedia-focused mobile phones have been announced by one South Korean manufacture.
According to Samsung, its latest models combine the latest in touchscreen technology with a selection of tools that will keep people entertained while on the go.
The first of the gadgets is the Mythic, which has a 3.3-inch front display with full qwerty keyboard, 3.2-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth technology and fast access to social networking.
It was advised that the Samsung Flight was more focused on messaging, with "a vertical sliding form factor" and a user interface described by the company as "unique".

A new handset from Samsung may be short in some areas, but delivers a "fantastic" web experience, one expert has advised.
Ricky Cadden noted in a piece for Mobile Burn this week that the South Korean manufacturer has equipped its budget touchscreen SGH-A887 model - which is also known as the Solstice - with some impressive internet facilities.
He said the photographic and multimedia options of the handset were something of a let down, but added the compact and stylish package came with a web browser that is "one of the best we've seen on a non-smartphone ever".

Samsung unveils four new Omnia models

Samsung has unveiled the specifications for four new handsets it is adding to the Omnia range.
The manufacturer announced this week that the devices will be rolled out from October across the UK and each offers something for everyone in terms of features.
It was advised the Omnia II has a clear multimedia focus with a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen capable of "crystal clear" images, a five-megapixel camera, DivX support and software for recording and editing video.
The Omnia LITE option, on the other hand, was highlighted for its web messaging facilities - such as multi-push email, 3G HSDPA and Wi-Fi support - and other options including A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and up to 32 GB of memo ...

One of the latest mobile phones to boast high-end photography facilities has gone under analysis this week.
According to Edward Chester of Trusted Reviews, the Samsung Pixon 12 - which also goes by the name of the M8910 - certainly looked like "the most camera-like" device he had seen on first glance.
He added the various photo-based technologies that have been crammed into the device do little to enhance its look, but explained that overall it was "undoubtedly the best camera phone we've used".

Samsung launches 'teen-focused' Genio

Samsung has announced the launch of a new mobile phone that it hopes will be particularly attractive to teens.
Available in a wide range of colours when it goes on sale in the middle of next month, the Genio is noted by the South Korean manufacturer to be targeted at the younger user.
For this reason, it has equipped the model with fast access to a host of social networking facilities including Facebook and Twitter, while also incorporating support for the YouTube video sharing portal.
Mark Mitchinson, vice-president of Samsung Mobile's operations in the UK, explained the reasons behind the launch, stating it was reflective of a commitment to the younger mobile consumer.

Samsung details new Android phone

Following the announcement that O2 would be launching the new Samsung Galaxy in the UK, its manufacturer has commented on why it might be a tempting purchase for some.
Also known as the i7500, the device boasts a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen and five-megapixel camera, but is its status as the latest model to come equipped with the Google Android operating system which may interest many.

O2 has announced that it will bring the latest phone to boast Google's Android operating system to its network.
Following on from the HTC Magic and Hero, as well as the T Mobile G1, users will be able to access all of the system's facilities with the Samsung Galaxy - which is available now.
The device, which also uses the name i7500, features a 256 Mhz Qualcomm chipset and five-megapixel camera, as well as a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, 3G, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi support.

Samsung has released the new, feature-packed HD i8910 mobile phone.
With a super crisp 3.7 inch AMOLED screen, an eight megapixel camera, HD video recording and great multimedia features, the phone has everything you could need and is available in the UK through Orange.
The camera has picked up praise in reviews, with John Herrman of gizmondo.com calling it "a rare treat" and describing the video as "razor-sharp at 720p".

The Samsung M7600 Beat DJ is a handset that is both unusual in its feature set and attractive in its design, it has been advised.
According to Trusted Reviews, one of the key selling points of the device is an integrated music player that allows the user to scratch and mix tracks with its touch-enabled screen.
However, in an article for the site, Sandra Vogel pointed out this particular option has limited appeal and it is in fact the styling of the gadget that is most likely to appeal.

Those in the market for a Bluetooth headset to go with their latest mobile phone have been offered three new choices.
Samsung unveiled its WEP870, WEP850 and WEP470 models this week and explained that each of them is designed for consumers with different requirements in mind.
However, it noted the one thing buyers could expect from all of them was "sleek, premium performance" and "an optimised mobile experience with crystal-clear conversations".
