Nokia X3 has "decent features"
Posted: 12 March 2010
The Nokia X3 handset has some "decent features", according to one writer.
Trusted Reviews' Niall Magennis said Nokia's latest entertainment phone has a slider device with some "dedicated" music keys and the consumer can choose whether they want red or blue strips down the side of the black handset.
One of the main bonus features on the device is its "spacious keypad" and this means it is "fairly easy" to quickly write a message on, which could be useful for someone constantly in a hurry.
If you are someone who likes to use your own ear pieces when listening to music on your phone then the X3's 3.5 mm headphone jack could come in handy because it m ...
Nokia 6303 is one of the "best basic phones"
Posted: 10 March 2010
Nokia's newest smartphone, the 6303, puts the manufacturer back in the limelight as a producer of some of the "best basic phones" on the market.
Edward Chester's article on Trusted Reviews of the one of the lastest smartphones out of the Nokia stable is one steeped in praise for the new handset. With a body made out of plastic and stainless steel, the 6303 gives the feel of a solid handset without becoming too weighty. Available in black and blue or silver, the slim phone easily slides in your pocket, he said.
The trans-reflective screen presents clear, crisp images whether viewed landscape or portrait or at an angle and is still readable in bright sunlight when the backlight is off. ...
Nokia E72 has 'one of the best keyboards'
Posted: 5 March 2010
The Nokia E72 mobile phone has one of the best qwerty keyboards around, according to one writer.
Trusted Reviews' Niall Magennis said the bubble-style keys are "excellent" and awarded the device nine out of ten for its overall design.
He added: "Nokia has upped the style quota by adding some sexy chrome trim around the edge of the handset and kitting it out with a metal battery cover with etched vertical lines."
And he claimed this addition made the phone much easier to grasp in a person's hand and gave it an "upmarket" feel.
The handset is powered by the Symbian S60 third edition operating system and it comes with a five-megapixel camera with auto ...

Posted: 3 March 2010
Nokia believes there will be a "wide appeal" for the new Skype application that is available to download from its Ovi Store.
The Skype client is based on the Symbian operating system and gives Nokia smartphone users worldwide the opportunity to use the calling technology when they are on the go with a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
Jo Harlow, senior vice-president for smartphones for Nokia, said Symbian had given the manufacturer more opportunities to bring handsets to people and services such as Skype will help with this.
She added: "We're seeing around 1.5 million downloads a day on Ovi Store now and believe that the Skype client for Nokia smartphones will have wide a ...
Nokia X6 is a "polished effort"
Posted: 25 February 2010
The Nokia X6 handset can give the user a "wealth" of free music for 12 months from the box, according to one reviewer.
Gareth Beavis, writing for T3, said the "polished effort" has the latest technology and can be bought in two modes.
One features 32GB of memory and a Comes with Music package allowing the consumer to download unlimited music for a year.
There is about a £100 difference between that and the other 16GB type available, but it does not have any music downloading already included.
On the device there is a "pretty good" video player and people who choose the 32GB package should be able to fit between ten and 15 films on the g ...

In addition, the Numo Finder is another device marketed by the manufacturer, which shows the ...
Nokia: Ovi maps averaging download per second
Posted: 5 February 2010
Nokia has announced that its new Ovi maps are averaging one download per second each day with over 1.4 million downloaded since January 21st this year.
It took the equipment, which now has free walk and drive navigation, one week to breach the one million mark.
Anssi Vanjoki, executive vice president of Nokia, said he knew that the new technology would be a "game-changer".
He added: "The number of people now using their Nokia for navigation - and as a result looking for more location-aware software - is growing faster than even we predicted."
Mr Vanjoki said the results were "great news" for Nokia's third party application developers because a base ...
Nokia navigation 'could drive huge uptake'
Posted: 27 January 2010
There could be "huge uptake" of navigation on mobile phones following Nokia's move to provide free access to the service on its handsets.
Patrick Connolly, research director at IMS Research, suggests that the move has been prompted "inevitably" by Nokia's competitors in the mobile navigation market.
However, the analyst still argues that the development paves the way for a new generation to evolve of pedestrian location services based on mobile phones.
"IMS Research estimates that Nokia has a ready-made installed base of over 80 million GPS-enabled devices, worldwide map coverage and onboard unconnected navigation," says Mr Connolly.
Among the anal ...
