Nokia said this week that the E72 is now ready to communicate straight out of the box with full access to Windows Live Messenger.
As one of the most popular services of its type in the world, the Finnish company explained that it had linked the product to its own Messaging Chat application.
The Nokia Press Bulletin Board said the new software means "people worldwide can have multiple conversations simultaneously, change their status and personal messages".

He explained regular visitors to the YouTube video sharing website would find that the device is particularly effective, while social networking portals like Twitter and Facebook are also well served.

New BlackBerry 'faster, smaller and easier'
Posted: 19 November 2009
The various ways in which Research In Motion have upgraded their latest qwerty-enabled smartphone have been discussed by one expert.
Gareth Beavis explained in a recent article published on the T3 website that the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has been upgraded to be faster, smaller and more user-friendly than its predecessor.
One area he said this was noticeable was in the new model's 624 MHz processor and the revised 5.0 version of the integrated operating system (OS).
Changes here, Mr Beavis added, have resulted in a menu that puts everything in areas that make more sense than they have in the past. "For instance music and video are now grouped together in one place," he noted. ...
New Samsung: One for the kids?
Posted: 18 November 2009
The Samsung Genio is a handset that may very well have younger users in mind, one expert has suggested.
Niall Magennis explained in a piece this week for Trusted Reviews that with a selection of colourful, swappable covers in the box and fast access to social networking, the model could be seen as marketed at teens.
He added that the Genio is a very compact option for a touchscreen handset of its type and noted that this makes it comfortable to hold as well as have in the pocket.
The expert went on to say that although the new Samsung is without features like Wi-Fi and 3G, it will inevitably appeal to some with budgetary constraints.
However, he concluded that a 2.8-inch touchs ...

New Bold 'a must-buy BlackBerry'
Posted: 17 November 2009
The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a handset that people in the market for a new phone should consider, it has been advised.
Available on Orange, T Mobile and Vodafone on a selection of different tariffs, the device is only the second to carry a trackpad instead of Research In Motion's (RIM) traditional trackball navigation facilities.
However, in an article for Brighthand this week, one reviewer pointed out that this is not the only notable improvement the firm has made with the full qwerty keyboard-enabled smartphone.
"In just a little more than a year RIM has proved that it can improve on a design that was already great. If you can afford it, there are very few reasons not to get the B ...

Posted: 17 November 2009
The latest entry in Research In Motion's range of touchscreen-enabled solutions has been put to the test in a new review.
According to Flora Graham in a piece for the Cnet technology news website, the firm has been able to combine a number of aspects in its replacement for the original BlackBerry Storm.
However, as the second model to come equipped with a SurePress clickable, touch panel, she notes that this means the device is lacking the full qwerty keyboard that is among the brand's most attractive features.
Ms Graham went on to say that this does not mean the Storm2 is not without its highlights, adding that it will clearly be to the taste of those who want a combination of function ...

Although mobile broadband packages can serve as a useful tool for those who live in areas unsupported by fixed line offerings, the group explained the plans could enhance access for consumers in remote rural regions.

The Nokia E72 is designed to be ideal for messaging - whether for personal or business use - according to its manufacturer.
Vice-president of the handset manufacturer Ukko Lappalainen explains that the average person now spends five full working days each year responding to their emails.
The company's research suggests that this is well in advance of the time spent text messaging or speaking on voice phone calls.
As a result, the E72 - launched officially on November 16th - has been designed to enable email functionality similar to that experienced on a desktop computer.
With a full QWERTY keyboard, the handset also promises to enable easier interaction with chat-based software ...
