Sony Ericsson W995 'a musical masterclass'
Posted: 30 June 2009
Sony Ericsson has continued to do what it does best in its latest music-focused mobile phone, it has been suggested.
According to Flora Graham in a recent review for the W995 Walkman device, the manufacturer has given other companies "a masterclass" in what an audio -based gadget should be.
She says that despite the firm having a number of other multimedia handsets on the horizon - including the Sony Ericsson Satio - the firm has continued to take its technology and improve it.
"This is a music phone that takes everything great about the Walkman range and makes it even better, thanks to the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack," Ms Graham states, adding the 8.1-megapixe ...

Currently, Tiscali provides consumers across the nation with fixed-line telephone, internet and digital TV services to both business and domestic users, whereas the Carphonewarehouse is primarily involved in the retail sector.
It was found the firm would become a much bigger player in the industry as a result of the acquisition but "would ...

Mobile game offers 'innovative controls'
Posted: 30 June 2009
Mobile phone gamers could quickly become hooked on a new title from Connect2Media, a new review suggests.
In an article for Pocket Gamer this week, Spanner Spencer looks at Tumblebugs on the Sony Ericsson K800i and notes that the innovative way it is controlled could be enough to win players over.
The one-thumb approach is something he states has "matured a lot in recent months" and in this particular title seems a little familiar, but will provide a great introduction to those not familiar with the style.
Other titles Mr Spencer compares Tumblebugs to include Zuma and Luxor, but praises the high quality design that keeps the title interesting for multiple plays.

Posted: 29 June 2009
Screen size, camera features and other technical aspects are often the deciding factor for those shopping for new mobile phones, it has been advised.
According to a spokesman for Pocket-lint, an online resource for news and reviews of the latest gadgets, there are many different things that will catch the eye of the consumer when they are in the market for a device.
However, Duncan Geere, a reporter for the site, added that very often when it comes to smartphones it is equally important to focus on what kind of processing speed the model could offer.
"I'm not sure that consumers realise that yet," he explained, noting that such technology can affect "the speed of launchin ...
