Sony Ericsson adds to Walkman range

Sony Ericsson has boosted its Walkman range with a new model that brings new technology to the table.
According to mobiletor.com, the Sony Ericsson W908c allows users to flick through tracks in the same way as its W910 predecessor and can be tailored more accurately to the needs of the listener.
It is reported that the SensMe technology within the handset gives users a free reign over editing and compiling their playlists and also boosts sound quality with the manufacturer's MegaBass feature.
Also featured is a 240 x 320 pixel TFT screen, two-megapixel camera with video recording, FM radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

Skype tests mobile offering

It has emerged that Skype could soon be offering a range of services for mobile phones, following the launch of new tests.
The company has released a test version of software that is currently undergoing trials on a range of Java-enabled mobile phones and devices and according to the company could lead to the expansion of its offerings.

Vivendi Games' mobile phones gaming division has announced that fans of the Crash Bandicoot franchise in Europe have made Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart and Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D one of the most popular games currently available.

One of this summer's biggest blockbuster movies will head for mobile phones in a new game soon, according to reports.
Speed Racer, the action adventure movie based on a Japanese anime series from the 1960s and directed by the team behind The Matrix, has been given a mobile game makeover by Glu and will be released to coincide with the movie.

Nokia has turned up the bling factor on its luxury line of mobile phones by encasing them in gold and diamonds, it has emerged.
The Vertu brand, itself a subsidiary of Nokia, is the British-made designer series of mobile phones that can be purchased in a number of specialist and department stores. However, the latest range may prove to be a little out of reach for most.

HTC set for "massive" announcement

Rumours are circulating following the announcement that HTC are to hold a press event next week, according to reports.
Product-reviews.net has stated that the manufacturer will be speaking at a "massive" press conference on May 6th and could be in line with plans to announce the launch of a new handset.

A new handset from Philips is set to hit the market that focuses heavily on music, an article for product-reviews.net reports.
It is noted that although the manufacturer's output of mobile phones is limited, the latest M600 will come with a range of features that should impress those for whom mp3 playback is a key inclusion on their handset.

A number of network and manufacturer partnerships are set to go ahead that will offer more options for mobile phones customers, according to reports.

More details have emerged regarding Nokia's new 6212, which is equipped with the latest Near Field Communication (NFC) wireless technology.
According to Mobile News International, the new handset will connect with other devices that are NFC-enabled up to a distance of ten centimetres and that trials have begun to test the 6212.
