Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia Black
Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia Black
As Sony Ericsson's first foray into the world of Windows Mobile, the X1 Xperia is real landmark phone, combining the raw power of Windows with the sheer beauty and user-friendliness of Sony Ericsson. With a features list longer than an actual human, it really is the ultimate smartphone!
Sometimes, an unexpected union forms, but sets the world on fire... and when it does, it requires a longer write-up here than normal, simply because it's so groundbreaking. That's exactly what has occurred, here, since, for the first time in history, Sony Ericsson have joined up with Windows Mobile, making what could most accurately be described as the ultimate smartphone. Here it is: the mind-blowing Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia.
Arc Slider
Cast in a sleek metal body, the Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia is the first phone to have the innovative 'arc-slider' design, which isn't as complicated as it sounds. Essentially, the back portion of the phone, the part with the QWERTY keyboard, is curved, so that when you slip the phone open, it changes the angle you view it at, as well, tilting the screen to make it a lot easier to view. However, whether you've got the slide open or closed, there are a huge number of ways of controlling the phone. You have a a sublime 3 inch touchscreen (and it's widescreen). You have a QWERTY keypad. But perhaps coolest out of all of them is the fact that nestling between the navigation keys, near the display, is a little black pad. Amazingly, that's a mouse pad like you get in a laptop, making the Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia work JUST like a mini laptop!
Software Breakthrough
After you've finished admiring the Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia's hardware (ok, that may take you a while), you get the chance to pay attention to how good the software is, on it. Essentially, you'll get a whole new version of Windows Mobile, version 6.1, which would be ace even if that were all there was to it. But it's been combined with Sony Ericsson's own 'panel navigation' interface (check out the photo of the phone to see it), which gives each of the home screens a panel, which you just touch to start that application. It's just stupendously intuitive and nice to use! It only makes the Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia so much more tempting!
Needless to say, no smartphone is whole without a massive list of cool features... Well, the Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia is crammed with more features than nearly anyother phone that's come our way! So, you get a 3 megapixel camera, it has GPS plus sat-nav (something you WILL find useful), full Office functionality, email, full internet, instant messaging... well, you can see it's an expansive list by anyone's standard! There is most likely a feature for everyone on this phone, and if it doesn't benefit you, we can only presume you haven't got it out the box yet! How excited is the Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia making us? Let's sum it up simply: this could definitely be the most incredible phone that's ever been made!
