This device is the first one of many more to come to run the newest version of the Android operating system, 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich to give it its pet name! It is also the first ever smartphone to boast an HD Super AMOLED display. Measuring at a whopping 4.65 inches and boasting a 720x1280 resolution, the Gorilla Glass screen also harbours splash-guard nanotechnology, to stop minor spillages from ruining your mobile. The screen also has a super-fast response time of just 0.01ms... wow! Under the hood the Galaxy Nexus is powered by the TI OMAP 4460 platform, houses a 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A9-based processor, and incorporates 1GB RAM. The rear of the device packs a 5 megapixel camera, capable of shooting 1080p video, while a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera is perfect for video-calling. Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest Android iteration, will automatically stitch shots together to create a panoramic image. It can also shoot time-lapse videos and zoom whilst recording. Being dubbed as 'future-proof' the Galaxy Nexus incorporates the latest up and coming technology, including Near Field Communication and LTE support, so longevity with this device is a given.
