Well, let’s start with the most revolutionary thing about the iPhone: it’s built around Apple’s fabulous Mac OS X. Not only is it the first phone to have this… it’s the only phone to have this! As any Mac user will tell you, OS X is essentially awesome, and is designed around giving the end user the best experience possible. On the Apple iPhone, that means beautiful, fluid menus, and a user experience unlike anything ever seen before.
And then, of course, there’s the multitude of features built into the Apple iPhone, such as the Safari web browser, Google Maps, and the really cool bit: an accelerometer.

…but even then, it’s all new and swanky! Anyone who’s ever used an iPod is going to be familiar with it, but it throws in a whole grab-bag of useful, and let’s face it, cool stuff. The biggest new addition, and the one that grabs you right from the outset, is the Cover Flow mode. Just tip the iPhone on its side, and you can scroll through the covers of the albums on your phone, all with the brush of a fingertip. Awesome stuff, and really, really useful!
