The award for Best Customer Service was clinched
from major UK competitors Carphone Warehouse
and Virgin Mobile. Mobileshop.com passed the
stringent judging criteria with flying colours
and overwhelmed the judges with its level of
customer retention, number of calls handled,
average response time, equipment upgrade and
customer testimonials.

Set up in September
1998, Mobileshop.com has seen profits rise dramatically
since its inception, recording over 400 percent
growth between 1999 and 2000 and a massive 80
percent increase in its 2001 end of year figures,
taking sales to £7.6 million and profits
approaching £600,000.
The online retailer
offers one of the UK's largest ranges of mobile
phones, mobile phone accessories, handheld PCs,
digital cameras, portable MP3 and minidisc players.

awards, now in their eighth year, are the only
independent business awards to recognise the
talent and strength of the UK's mobile phone
industry.
