No Milestone 3 for UK?

The Motorola Milestone 3 will not be coming to the United Kingdom, according to online retailer, Clove.

The blog went on to say that the plans are subject to change, so it’s not confirmed that the Milestone 3 won’t make it across the pond, but don’t get your hopes up just yet.

No reason was given for not appearing in the UK, however speculation suggests that UK consumers aren’t too crazy about slide-out QWERTY keyboards, or maybe it’s because of the low sales figure for the Milestone 2? Watch this space, we’ll keep you posted!

New video shows the rise of Skynet… er, sorry, Android

Well, we’ve all said it. Anyone who’s commented on the rise of Android has probably (like me) found it hard not to use the phrase “world domination”, as in, that’s what Android is heading towards. And now, there’s a video demonstrating that idea in action. There’s no music in it, so I suggest cueing up the theme from The Terminator to accompany it…

Well, then, I guess we know what the two biggest handsets in Android history were, from that video. Did you see how North America lit up like a christmas tree, after the launch of the Droid (or the Motorola Milestone, as we Brits know it)? The same thing happened in Europe and Asia after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S, so I reckon it’s fair to say that those two’ve been the big stars of the Android OS, up to this point. (more…)

At last! An iPhone soap that smells of sausages!

Just over a year ago, I ran a blog post about how someone had made soap in the shape of a Palm Pre. And I filled that blog post with loads of Fight Club references, as one does when soap is involved.

Well, now, that same person, who made the Palm Pre soap, is back! And this time, they’ve made an iPhone soap (although ‘cos it’s not got iOS 4 on, it ain’t the iPhone 4). But that’s not the cool bit. No sirree, the cool bit is what the default fragrance for this soap is.

Grilled. Sausages.

Woohoo, that means that finally, finally, someone has made a soap for men. (more…)

Ooh, this is rather exciting news, and you have to give Motorola credit for, once again, making a new product announcement on the exact same day that Apple have an event. And yes, it’s a brand new phone. And yes, it’s going to be good. ‘Cos it’s the Motorola Milestone 2…

Now, as you may remember, I was a fan of the original Motorola Milestone. In fact, I called it my phone of the year, for 2009. So, as I’m sure you can imagine, the Motorola Milestone 2 has piqued my interest. (more…)

Game Gripper – turn the Nokia N900 into a NES

TechnicalMarkus Posted on: August 5th, 2010

Mobile gaming’s becoming one of the big buzzwords as we roll on through 2010, especially with the upcoming release of Windows Phone 7 (y’know, ‘cos it’s got Xbox Live built in, a fact I still get excited about). However, today, I saw something that makes mobile gaming even cooler: the Game Gripper…

Yup, that’s one being used on the Nokia N900, to play Super Mario Something (not sure which one, but it’s got Yoshi in it), and from what I can gather (y’know, by watching the video) it seems to work by having the buttons on the Gripper press down on the keys on the N900′s keypad, to control the action.
