Apple’s old products are still managing to outsell Android’s latest smartphones in the USA!
Across the pond, Apple’s older generation of the iPhone and iPad are still in high demand according to Canaccord Genuity, whose findings show that the iPhone 3GS sold more units than the new Android powered Motorola Atrix 4G and the HTC Inspire 4G on the AT&T network.
The report author, Michael Walkley, said: “April checks indicated continued strong demand for the iPhone 3GS at AT&T and iPad as the older Apple generation products with reduced prices often outsold new Android products.”
The Guardian has officially launched its new app for the iPhone today.
The new app intends to make iPhone news-browsing a better experience by providing more frequent updates and a broader range of content.
The new app is free to download but does involve signing into a 6 or 12 month subscription which will cost £2.99 and £3.99 respectively. Europe’s first mobile TV hotspot is due to land on the Apple iPad and iPhone, meaning Apple-ites will be able to watch digital TV on the go.
The portable tizi device is a wireless form of mobile connectivity that streams data to your iPad or iPhone by acting as a TV hotspot.
Users have to download an app to their iPad or iPhone and use it in conjunction with the TV hotspot device to connect to the tizi wireless network and start watching their favourite digital channels.

Hogwarts fans with an iPhone or iPad can help mark the release of the penultimate Harry Potter film today by playing a LEGO Harry Potter game.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One goes on general release at cinemas today and the game LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 goes on general release in the app store today too.
Warner Bros have released the LEGO-branded game, which will work across all iOS devices – meaning owners of an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch and iPad are all in luck.
